Fawzi's Curriculum
Goal
Learn trading from absolute zero — every concept explained from the ground up. By the end of this course, Fawzi will understand how markets work, how to read charts, how to manage risk, how to build and test strategies, and how to use AI tools to assist every step of the process.
This is a hands-on course. We learn theory, then immediately practice with real charts, real news, and real AI tools. No real money is risked until Module 8.
How This Course Works
Each lesson follows the same pattern:
- Concept — the idea in plain language, no jargon
- Why it matters — when and how it shows up in real trading
- AI alongside — how to use Claude or ChatGPT to deepen understanding or do the work
- Practice — a small task to do today
The Eight Modules
1. Trading Foundations
What trading is, how markets actually work, the difference between trading and investing, key terminology, and how orders move money.
2. Reading Charts
Candlesticks, timeframes, support and resistance, trends, common chart patterns, and the few indicators worth knowing.
3. Risk Management
The single most important skill in trading. Position sizing, stop losses, the 1% rule, risk/reward ratios. Taught before any strategy on purpose.
4. AI Trading Tools
Using Claude and ChatGPT for market research, news summarization, sentiment analysis, backtesting ideas, and building a trading journal.
5. Trading Strategies
Day trading, swing trading, trend following vs mean reversion, and how to build a personal strategy that fits your time and temperament.
6. Fundamental Analysis
Reading company financials, understanding economic indicators (CPI, interest rates, jobs reports), and how news and earnings move prices.
7. Trading Psychology
The hardest part. Emotional discipline, cognitive biases (FOMO, revenge trading, loss aversion), and how to build a trading plan that survives losing streaks.
8. Getting Started Safely
Paper trading, choosing a broker, position-sized funding, and the first three months. How to actually start without losing money you can't afford to lose.
Tools We'll Use
- Charting: TradingView (free tier is excellent)
- AI assistants: Claude (claude.ai) and ChatGPT (chatgpt.com)
- News and data: Finviz, Yahoo Finance, Investing.com
- Paper trading: TradingView's built-in paper account or broker demos
- Journal: A Google Sheet or Notion page with AI assistance
What This Course Is Not
- It is not financial advice
- It is not a "get rich quick" course
- Trading is a craft. Whether you become profitable depends on discipline, time, and the work you put in
